·        Introduced several new research fields, including metamaterial-based chemical sensors, optical noise in refractometric sensors, inorganic biomimetic nanomembranes and plasmonic enhancement of infrared photodetectors

·       Founder of the first Serbian group for plasmonics and metamaterials
